The communication Ministry of the Cameroon Baptist Convention started around 1964.
The vision of the Ministry is to reach out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the unreached using Radio, video and print.
The objective is to share the love of God through education, information and Biblical ministration.
The Radio runs a variety of 30 programs weekly, aimed at meeting the objectives of the communication Ministry.
The main office is in Nkwen, Bamenda and also runs another station in Buea, Southwest region. The station in Buea is where the communications ministry started.
The challenges of the ministry are many and varied, ranging from equipment to personnel. However, there are future plans to extend the services to other parts of the country. The ministry needs further training opportunities for staff, modern equipment to extend radio signals and increase audience, means of transportation (vehicle), etc.
The Baptist Voice
So far, the ministry has been using its bi-monthly publication “The Baptist Voice”. This publication features key events in the convention aimed at keeping the Christian community abreast with current issues and activities of the ministry.
The Printing Press went operational in August, 2005 with main aim to meet the print needs of CBC departments. The Printing Press was also expected to generate funds in order to support evangelism in the CBC.
By the Grace of God and commitment of the staff /the CBC Central administration, it has been experiencing progress.
The use of modern machines such as GTO 46 (Offset), Offset Kors, etc. has been facilitating the printing of books, receipts, calendars, posters, gospel tracts, brochures, invitation cards and many others in multiple colors.
