CBC ORDAINS PASTOR CHIAHBIH PATRICK JAM

BY EMMANUEL BAH TOKOH

The Associate Pastor in Charge of Christian Education for CBC Church Menda Mile Three Nkwen has been ordained. Rev. Chiahbih Patrick Jam was ordained on Sunday February 28, 2021. Preaching from 1st Timothy 4:1-16 on the topic “Being a Good Minister of Christ”, the Senior Pastor of CBC Church Menda Mile Three Nkwen, Rev Ambola David urged Rev. Chiahbih Patrick, and by extension every minister of the gospel, to be serious about the Word of God. He outlined three qualities of a genuine minister of the gospel, namely, the ability to refute false teachings, the capacity for godliness and diligence in ministerial duties.

In the presence of his family, friends and the congregation, and denouncing all the distracting pleasures of the world such as traditional titles, Rev. Chiahbih committed his life to serving God unreservedly and unflinchingly. Based on this commitment, the CBC Ministerial Council Secretary, Rev. George Minang, representing the CBC Executive President, confirmed God’s call on Rev Chiahbih. by conferring on him the constitutional authority to perform the ordinances of the church. Rev. Minang said the CBC ordains pastors after a careful and prayerful examination of their experience of grace, the authenticity of their conversion, call, character, and loyalty to Christ and the church. The Bamenda Field Pastor, Rev. Richard Apongnde, encouraged other churches to speed up the process of ordaining their ministers so as to make their ministries more effective.
