Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining website. Ensure sites are functioning properly and are available to users. Test speed of access and improve upon loading speed. The webmaster shall be answerable to the Head of Press Division.

Primary responsibilities

  • Plan for and manage the staff, resources, budget and other administrative supports of the web team.
  • Supervise the activity of the web team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the external environment & competitive Position of CBC online.
  • Advise CBC regarding appropriate online strategy.
  • Advise CBC regarding best online practice.
  • Plan new developments for CBC online, in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee the delivery of new developments online including business modelling, user research, requirements definition, interface, design and support.
  • Maintain, configure and troubleshoot servers regularly to ensure smooth functioning of the website.
  • Ensures the site’s continuous hosting.
  • Generate and revise web pages as need arises.
  • Examine and analyze site traffic.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as JavaScript and SQL.
  • Regulate and manage access rights of different users on website.
  • Create and modify appearance and setting of website.
  • Lay out content on web pages.
  • Deal with and respond to heavy volumes of email.
  • Decide what kind of computer will hold the web site’s information
  • Meet with designers to agree on site’s design
  • Fix links that don’t work and pictures that aren’t appearing properly
  • Decide how site’s content will be delivered to the Internet
  • Keep files small so sites load faster
  • Test website across different browsers and operating systems whilst ensuring that people with different computers and mobile devices can access the website.
  • Determine technical requirements.
  • Updating website and reviewing SEO.
  • Creating back up files.
  • Solve code problems debug pages and repair broken links or images.
  • Test website to identify and solve any technical problems.
  • Ready to take other duties as assigned by the Executive President of the CBC.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Webmaster /Web Developer.
  • Be knowledgeable in web analytics and SEO.
  • Adequate knowledge of the various website management tools.
  • Be fully proficient in HTML/CSS and XML (Knowledge of JavaScript and SQL is preferred.
  • Possess troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrate a knack for detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Design or a related field is preferred.
  • Be a committed and growing Christian.


Job Summary

Designing images, graphics, videos and artwork for website, social media and offline publications. Creates and determine the layout, font color, font type, logos, pictures and other visual and verbal aspects of the website. The Graphic Designer shall be answerable to the Head of the Press Division.

Primary Responsibility

  • Digital retouching and image editing.
  • Design arts work for announcements and up-coming events.
  • Develop graphics and visual or audio materials for product illustrations, logos, and websites.
  • Create designs either by hand or using computer software packages.
  • Select colors, images, text style, and layout.
  • Illustrates concept to team members and obtains approval of concept by submitting different layouts for approval.
  • Collaborate with team members and other professionals (e.g. program/project staffs, communication experts, and photographers) to gather information and materials for design.
  • Ready to take other duties as assigned by the Executive President of the CBC.


Job Requirements

  • Proven graphic designing experience.
  • Have a creative flair, flexibility, conceptual/visual ability and originality.
  • Ability to network, communicate and present ideas.
  • Up-to-date with industry leading software and technologies (InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, etc).
  • Highly proficient in all design aspects.
  • A committed and growing Christian.
