The Cameroon Baptist Convention has officially sent-forth Rev. Ncham Godwill as Executive President. The Send- forth service took place at Nkwen Baptist Church on January 09 2021 in the presence of a host of CBC Clergymen, Clergy from sister denominations, invited dignitaries and guests, family members , friends and members of the Press. The Shepherd of the convention who has piloted the affairs of the convention for over eight years was signing out after handing over officially on January 08, 2021 to Rev Nditemeh Charlemagne as new Executive President.
Rev. Ncham Godwill addressing all present started by appreciating them for their collaboration. He urged the Christians not to compare his leadership to that of Revd. Nditemeh Charlemagne because God’s call to His faithful is unique .He Said every achievement recorded during his term of service belongs to CBC Christians who relentlessly prayed and collaborated with him. Taking Responsibility for his weaknesses and shortcomings, Rev. Dr Ncham Godwill urged the CBC to embrace the new leader and keep focusing on Jesus. Earlier on in a biblically sound sermon drawn from Philippians 2 Verses 12-18, the guest speaker Dr. Kimbi Paul called on Rev Ncham to continue to model the Gospel he was called to preach, with fear and trembling, with a team spirit and with a joyful heart.
Amongst the several speeches and presentations from the Director of CBCHS, Representative of Field Pastors, CAPTAL, CEPCA, Foreign Missions amongst others was that of the Chairman of the Convention. Mr. Yosimbom Nkong John outlined some of the achievements of the former CBC Executive President; the realization of the Faith Project conceived in the 90s, the growth of the four CBC Higher Institutions, the Executive President’s Residence, the success story of CBC Development Fund, harmonizing the 27% Proportionate giving , Win-Win Partnership, etc. The Chair of the convention also disclosed that during Rev Ncham’s Administration, the Cameroon Baptist Convention was recognized by the Baptist World Alliance as the Fastest Growing Member Body. The Crowd pulling service took another gear when the congregation made up of Christians and friends from far and near happily presented gifts to Revd. Ncham Godwill to spur him to greater service. The joy was visibly seen on Rev Ncham’s face as he joined in dancing and praising God for the benevolent gesture. Thanking all present, Rev Ncham openly acknowledged the Chair, Mr. Yosimbom Nkong John as a gift to the church of God, he presented a special gift to him for his devoted and active service to the Convention. Present to give the ceremony the grandeur it deserved were NACOMEC and other choirs.
