By Evenye Ndumbe Kechen

Two Pastors in Soppo Field Council of Churches have successfully defended their doctrinal statements in separate ordination council examinations. This was on Saturday 10th April 2021 at Bethel Baptist Church Yoke-Muyuka, where Pastor Tim Ephraim of Triumphant Baptist Church Mutengene, brilliantly defended the nine doctrines ( Doctrine of God’s Word, Theology, Man, Christ, Holy Spirit, Salvation, the Church and Doctrine of the Last Things). During his session, Rev. Mbella Robert was voted as moderator and Rev. Ngeke Peter as secretary. After every three doctrines presented, two questions per doctrine was welcomed from members of the council. He had a score of 90% while Pastor Ebai Douglas of Bethel Baptist Church Yoke-Muyuka who also defended the nine doctrines with his Salvation testimony and Call into Ministry, had 85%. Rev. Vekumbe Benjamin was voted moderator and Rev. Benjamin Lyonga as secretary. Same format for the presentation was followed. Rev. Shu Divine provost of the Cameroon Theological seminary in Kumba appreciated the presentations of the candidates and their mastery of the doctrines.  Rev. Dr Liombe Timothy, Soppo Field Pastor was satisfied with the performances of both Pastors and thanked God for their successes. The Christians who turned out to witness the exercise couldn’t hide their Joy when the results were proclaimed. They look forward to the ordination ceremony in the months ahead.
